Pacific Northwest Weekly Feedstuffs

   Pacific Northwest Market Summary:  Feed ingredient offers ended the 
reporting week on Tuesday, October 22, mixed compared to last report's offers.  

   Oilseed Meal Markets:  Offers for 47 percent protein Soybean Meal, for 
nearby rail delivery to Pacific Northwest were steady to 0.90 lower from 
336.90-360.00.  Offers for soybean meal truck delivered to the Willamette 
Valley were not available.  Offers for nearby rail delivered to Pacific 
Northwest Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein were not available.  Truck 
delivered Willamette Valley canola meal offers, 34 to 36 percent protein were 
not available.

   Whole Cottonseed:  Whole Cottonseed offers for delivery to points in the 
Pacific Northwest from the Midsouth in single boxcars were 25.00 to 30.00 lower 
from 320.00-345.00.  Offers for whole cottonseed trans-loaded onto trucks and 
delivered to Willamette Valley dairies were steady to 50.00 lower from 360.00-
375.00.

   Animal Proteins:  Offers for 46 to 50 percent protein ruminant Meat and Bone 
Meal, FOB Pacific Northwest plants, were steady from 185.00-225.00.  Offers for 
ruminant meat and bone meal truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were 
steady to 5.00 lower from 230.00-235.00.

   Wheat Millrun:  Feed mill offers for Wheat Millrun for nearby delivery, 
loaded FOB the flour mill in Portland were steady at 193.00.  Offers for wheat 
millrun truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were steady at 193.00.  Flour 
mill offers for wheat millrun rail delivered to Portland on the Burlington 
Northern Line from eastern Washington and eastern Oregon for nearby delivery 
were steady at 146.00.  Offers for wheat millrun FOB eastern Oregon and eastern 
Washington for nearby delivery trended steady from 90.00-100.00.

   Alfalfa Products:  Offers for Suncured Alfalfa Pellets, 15 percent protein, 
delivered by truck to the Willamette Valley were steady at 340.00.

   Distillers Dried Grains:  Offers for Distillers Dried Grains delivered by 
rail to feed mills in the Pacific Northwest were steady to 5.00 higher from 
209.00-212.00.  Offers for distillers dried grains trans-loaded onto trucks and 
delivered to Willamette Valley dairies were steady to 5.00 higher from 227.00-
227.00.

   Coarse Feeding Grains:  Offers for US 2 Barley for nearby delivery to 
Portland in single rail cars for domestic use were steady from 198.00-205.00.  
Offers for US 2 Barley truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were steady 
from 187.00-205.00.  US 2 Yellow Corn offers for truck delivery to points north 
of Seattle were not available.  Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn truck delivered to 
points in the Seattle area trended 1.00 to 2.00 lower from 201.00-204.00.  
Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn rail delivered to Portland trended 1.25 to 2.00 
lower from 187.75-190.25.  Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn truck delivered to the 
Willamette Valley were not available.  US 2 Yellow Corn offers for truck 
delivery to the Yakima Valley trended 1.75 lower from 181.50-189.75.  Chicago 
December corn futures closed at 3.88, 5.25 cents lower than last report's 
closes.  US 2 Heavy White Oats truck delivered to Portland and Willamette 
Valley were not available.
