Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 3/13/18

  Receipts:      917         Last Week     1510        Last Year     1220    
               
   Compared to last Tuesday on a special stock cow and bred cow sale; slaughter 
cows steady to instances 2.00-3.00 lower, slaughter bulls steady, feeder cows 
steady instances 1.00-2.00 higher. Not enough feeder calves for a good market 
test. Demand moderate to good with more buyers for bred cows and pairs. 
Slaughter cows accounted for approximately 17 percent of the run, slaughter 
bulls 3 percent, feeder cows 24 percent, feeder bulls 1 percent, breeding bulls 
3 percent, bred cows 17 percent, cow/calf pairs 17 percent, with calves 18 
percent of with 81 percent steers, 84 percent heifers of which 13 percent 
weighed over 600 lbs.

770-1085 lbs 105.00-113.50, few 85.00-102.00; Young 790-1215 lbs 70.00-83.00, 
few 59.00-65.50; Middle Aged (Short Solids) 1220-1660 lbs 60.00-68.50; Aged 
(Short Term) 915-1175 lbs 51.00-55.50, few 42.00-47.00.

   Feeder Steers: Medium-Large 1 small package 442 lbs 205.00; small package 
1124 lbs 111.50.

   Feeder Heifers: Medium-Large 1 390-445 lbs 164.00-164.50. Feeder Heifers:

few 1075-1485 lbs 725.00-1160.00; Middle Aged (Short Solids) 1285-1540 lbs few 
1325.00-1350.00, couple 1150 lbs 125.00; Aged (Short Term) 1080-15902 lbs 
several 900.00-1075.00, couple 750.00 all per head.

   Cow/calf Pairs: Young couple packages 985-1125 lb cows with 110-145 lb calves 
1750.00-1875.00, couple 945-1095 lb cows with 80-85 lb calves 1525.00, few 
(longhorns) 705-1005 lb cows with 55-70 lb calves 550.00-825.00; Middle Aged 
(Short Solids) package 1150 lb cows with 135 lb calves 1660.00, small package 
1125 lb cows with 130 lb calves 1575.00; Aged (Short Term) small package 1080 lb 
cows 95 lb calves 1400.00, few 1200 lb cows with 80 lb calves 1200.00 all per
